ESDP Presented THEO at the International FEDIAF/ANFAAC Congress in Madrid

The Escuela Española de Salvamento y Detección con Perros (ESDP), coordinator of the THEO project, participated as a speaker at the International FEDIAF/ANFAAC Congress held in Madrid in June 2025.

The event brought together key representatives from the European pet food sector, researchers, policymakers and organizations committed to animal welfare across Europe.

During the congress, ESDP presented its experience in European projects related to wellbeing, rescue dogs and human–animal interaction, including THEO (Exercise THERapy assistant dOgs). The presentation highlighted the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles, responsible pet ownership and the positive impact of dogs on people’s physical and emotional wellbeing.

The participation in this international event also provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration networks and increase the visibility of THEO among professionals and stakeholders working in the fields of animal welfare, health and education.

THEO is a European Erasmus+ Sport project co-funded by the European Union.
